Whether it’s a Cloudwalkers walking stick or a custom-ordered design on an architectural component like a support beam or mantelpiece, the techniques used in their creation are the same.

Cloudwalkers walking sticks and canes are made from Palonia wood, making them arguably the lightest wooden walking sticks in the world, but very sturdy!

Designs can be almost anything from animals, birds, reptiles, insects, and fish, to trees or entire mountain scenes. They are woodburned into the wood by hand, then stained in a rainbow of colors using food coloring.

Eight to ten coats of varnish seal each Cloudwalker, preserving and protecting the designs and the walking stick itself.

Finally, most sticks are further adorned with feathers (mostly goose and rooster), and glass, brass and wood beads. Brass stud accents are also available.

Since every Cloudwalkers walking stick or cane is custom made to your specifications, expect four to six weeks for completion and delivery.
