You might say a “snake in the grass” was the inspiration for my  Cloudwalkers walking sticks.  When my wife, Jane, was bitten by a copperhead I decided she needed some protection while hiking and gardening. I cut a branch from a lightning-struck oak tree near our home to fashion the first Cloudwalker just for her.

Since then, Cloudwalkers have evolved into a functional art form. Combining a talent for woodburning with natural adornments like feathers and beads of glass, brass and wood, each Cloudwalker I craft develops its own personality.

A unique expression of our natural world, they have been recognized as genuine folk art. Cloudwalkers have been selected for display in two juried exhibitions at Gatlinburg, Tennessees’ world reknown Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts.
